Dr. Simeons  Protocol -

This is a specific program for use only while you are taking  (HCG Max).  This is the protocol you follow if you want optimal fat loss. 

 

  While taking  (HCG Max), your appetite will be decreased.  The Body Composition Analysis will show that you are metabolizing fat at a very high rate.  This is why you are not hungry - your body will actually be quite satiated.  The Body Composition Analyzer will also show that you are maintaining your lean body mass (muscle).  This would not be true if your body were in starvation mode.

This protocol specifies both the maximums you can eat and the minimums that you should eat.  In fact, since most of the calories you require will becoming from your own fat metabolism, this diet is more about what you need than what to avoid.  You need lots of liquids.  You need fiber and protein.  So, this diet is about getting the right amount of liquids, protein and fiber for the fewest calories.

What If I DO Feel "Hungry"?

Talk to your coach.  You will feel hungry if you eat more of certain foods than the protocol recommends because too many calories (of sugar and starches, for example) inhibits optimal fat metabolism.  Or, maybe you are experiencing an appetite craving rather than hunger.  While you should not be hungry (needing additional calories), you may still be craving some of your favorite foods.  Finally, if you are attached to "comfort foods"" as a way of dealing with stress, the craving may be more psychological than metabolical.  This is why your coach is here: to help you overcome any of these issues.

Here is the Food list

For breakfast you can have any non-calorie fluids in any amount.  The fluid list includes: water, tea, coffee, soda water, mineral water.

For lunch and

            dinner,

  • one protein of 3.5 oz., lean meat only, choose from

    • veal, steak,

    • fresh white fish (halibut, swordfish, bass, flounder, pike, brook trout, jew fish, john dory, snapper, crab meat, lobster, shrimp);

    • chicken with no skin. 

    • All of the protein must be weighed raw and all excess fat removed before cooking.

    • Note: Salmon, eel, tuna, herring or any dried, pickled or smoked fish are not allowed

  • Fruit, two portions a day at least 6 hours apart:

    • apple, strawberries (6 large), orange, 1/2 grapefruit.

  • Fresh vegetables:

    • spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens, green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower.

    • No pumpkin, beet root, potatoes, carrots, peas or corn

The plan also includes

  • Each day a minimum of 2 liters of water should be consumed.

  • one tablespoon of milk daily

  • no sugar but, non-caloric, sugar replacement is ok,

  • no margarine, oil or butter, juice of one lemon daily

  • you can use salt, pepper, vinegar, mustard powder, garlic, sweet basil, parsley, thyme, marjoram and other spices freely.
